What We Do
Laughing Dog Academy uses only positive reinforcement training methods, with an emphasis on clickertraining. You will find no shock collars, choke collars, or use of "correction" or punishment. Positive training will help you to communicate with your dog so that your canine friend understands exactly what you want. You'll be amazed at how quickly your dog learns and how much fun the training process is for both of you. With a little practice, you will develop a stronger bond with your furry friend and will find yourself with a well-behaved and enthusiastic learner.
People who have trained their dogs using clicker training find that their dogs are happier and calmer. Learn how to teach your dog important basic behaviors that every dog should know—sit, lie down, stay, etc.—and troubleshoot annoying behavioral problems, from leash pulling and excessive barking to jumping on guests and more. Clicker training is also great for teaching fun tricks.
Dogs of all ages—from puppies to seniors—can learn through clicker training. It's never too soon or too late to start. And yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks!
